A couple of leaked phones made the blogosphere rounds over the weekend. The two latest to fall to the news hounds are the LG Nitro HD and the Orange San Francisco II.
LG Nitro HD

This appears to be the North American version of the LH Optimus LTE, which was officially announced by the Korean company last month. From the looks of things, it's much like the previously-announced smartphone, as you can see from AT&T version pictured above. Details include a 4.5-inch 720p HD touchscreen, an 8.0 megapixel camera module, 4 GB of ROM, microSD card support, Bluetooth 3.0, 21 Mbps HSDPA, 4G LTE and a 1,830 mAh battery module. Processing muscle is handled by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, paired with 1GB of RAM. Android 2.3 Gingerbread will run at the helm.
Unfortunately, there's no word yet on the LG Nitro HD's launch date and pricing. It sounds like it could make for an attractive holiday offer, though.

Orange San Francisco II

The successor to the UK carrier's popular San Francisco handset, this new entry-level phone will be known outside of the UK as the ZTE Crescent. As with the previous model, the San Francisco II is aimed at the prepaid (pay as you go) audience, bring affable looks and decent specs with it.
Details include a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen (480 x 800 resolution), a 5.0 megapixel camer amodule, HSPA, WiFi, Bluetooth, aGPS and a microSD card slot. It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and will be powered by a modest 800MHz processor. No pricing or release date were leaked, however.

A couple of HTC-made Androids made the leaked rounds this week. The pair consists of the HTC Edge and the HTC Ville.
HTC Edge

Set to be the first quad-core smartphone, the Edge will be powered by Nvidia's Tegra 3, which boasts 1.5GHz of clock cycles in each core. Details include a 4.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display (720p resolution), an 8.0 megapixel camera module (with f/2.2 lens and 1080p video capture), aGPS, Bluetooth 4.0, HSPA+ (21Mbps download speeds), 32GB of internal storage, a 1,650mAh battery and 1GB of RAM. Construction looks premium, too, with the leaked photo showing the phone clad in an all metal shell. Like many of HTC's new releases, it comes with Beats Audio onboard. It's expected to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, with HTC Sense UI 4.0 on top and a late first quarter 2012 release date.

HTC Ville

Slated for introduction at next year's Mobile World Congress, the HTC Ville has been confirmed to have Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and HTC Sense UI 4.0 out of the box. Details include a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen (960 × 540 resolution), an 8.0 megapixel camera (with 1080p video recording), HSPA+ and a 1.650mAh battery. A dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor provides the muscle.

RIM has already announced BBX, the next-gen operating system set to appear in the company's upcoming phones and tablets. According to rumors, the first phone running the updated platform will show up early 2012 in the form of the Blackberry Colt.
Pictured above, the phone will supposedly be RIM's new flagship device. The image is only a render based on rumors, though, so don’t fret if you don't find it fitting of the premium status (because, the appearance really isn't).
Construction is supposedly unibody aluminum, with no physical buttons anywhere on the front panel. Leaked specs of the Blackberry Colt include a dual-core processor, a large capacitive touchscreen display (minimum 4 inches, according to the source) with over 900 pixels vertical resolution, a pair of cameras and a battery module similar to the Playbook.
Other than the buttonless design, it doesn't sound like anything special. Hopefully, RIM sees fit to load this heavily on the hardware end, while making great strides on the software end of the deal. And an early 2012 release should definitely be in order, since the specs might end up being just downright low-end again if they sit on this too long. We have a bunch of leaked new smartphones making their rounds in the blogosphere, namely the HTC Rhyme, the LG LU6200 and the HTC Vigor.
HTC Rhyme

Previously rumored as the HTC Bliss and aimed at the female demographic, we're guessing HTC had a change of heart with this one. According to HTC Inside, the handset will now be called HTC Rhyme, likely for marketing to a younger, music-lovin' crowd. Details are sparse, but it will have a 3.7-inch display, Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread and HTC Sense 3.5 running on top.

LG LU6200

Rumored to be a South Korean exclusive at launch, the LG LU6200 is likely ending up as the company's next flagship handset. Like many new top-end smartphones, it has an XL-sized display, measuring in at 4.5 inches with an HD 1280 x 720 resolution. Running Android Gingerbread, it holds a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM and Adreno 220 GPU inside the 10.5mm-thick candybar frame. Other details include an 8.0 megapixel camera module, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing videocam, aGPS, LTE radio, NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and DMB.

HTC Vigor

HTC has a major event scheduled for next week, where the previously-leaked HTC Runnymede is expected to be part of the announcements. Maybe this just-leaked HTC Vigor (which some people say might be HTC Thunderbolt 2) will show up, too. Details include a dual-core 1.5GHz CPU, a 4.3-inch SuperLCD display with HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels). Like the Runnymede, it will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread and come plastered with Beats Audio branding
[PocketNow]

The rumored HTC Runnymede just got some official-looking product shots, courtesy of the Chinese website ePrice. As you can tell from the image, this is no shabby render buy a blogger -- it looks like the same thing that will come with press releases when HTC does announce the phone.
The most notable part of all this is the Beats Audio branding in the back, which likely makes this the first recipient of that $309 million purchase from last month. We're not sure if having the logo means this will deliver a highly-improved audio experience, be ridiculously expensive (like those similarly-branded headphones) or both, however.
Leaked details of the HTC Runnymede include a 4.7-inch capacitive display (480 x 800 resolution), an 8.0 megapixel camera module with dual LED flash, a front-facing 1.3 megapixel video cam, a 1.5Ghz single-core processor,768MB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB of onboard storage. Of course, you can expect the usual wireless connectivity features, along with other modern smartphone standards.
If this sounds like the HTC Titan, it probably is -- except with Android (instead of Windows Phone 7.5 Mango) and HTC Beats onboard. Hopefully, the Beats integration means something that's more than just a cosmetic addition, though.
The ePrice post seems to suggest that the HTC Runnymede will be announced on September 20 during an HTC event in the US (the big media outfits have already gotten their invites). We're guessing it will get a name change, too, since Runnymede just sounds like a word a four year old will make up.

A new Samsung Galaxy S II variant just showed up around the blogosphere and… it looks like another Samsung Galaxy S II variant. Leaked by a Korean outlet, the upcoming handset is codenamed the Samsung Celox.
Getting tired of the endless variants of the Galaxy S II? Same here. This one's packing the gift of an LTE radio (up to 100Mbps down / 50Mbps up), though, so those considering an S II but are hankering for faster broadband speeds should find it of particular interest.
Rumored details of the Samsung Celox include a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm processor, a 4.5-inch SuperAMOLED Plus touchscreen (800 x 480 resolution), an 8.0 megapixel camera module, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, aGPS, a 3G radio, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card expansion, a 1,750 mAh battery and the rest of the hardware suite its Galaxy S II cousins are hiding. For software, expect Android 2.3 Gingerbread with a heaping of TouchWiz 4.0 for the UI.
Granted, the photo they procured is more suspect than anything. It's the best anyone's got right now, though, and it's so ugly it can’t possible be a serious Photoshop job. Plus, we all know people don't make up stuff on the internet, right? Right?

Motorola's developer site appears to have accidentally leaked the upcoming Motorola Droid Bionic's specifications. While there was no official photo include, all the relevant details were in tow for people to see.
Billed as model number XT865, the handset will be an all-touch slate with the latest Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread running on it. While this is the same model number as the long-thought-dead Bionic, the hardware appears to have been beefed up, which means it could be positioned as a high-end offering down the line.
Details of the Motorola Droid Bionic include a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display (540x 960 resolution), an 8.0 megapixel camera module (with 1080p recording and LED flash), a VGA front-facing webcam, the usual connectivity features, HDMI, 4G LTE support, microSD card expansion (up to 32GB) and webtop capabilities (not sure what that means exactly, though). Core hardware will be a dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 CPU and PowerVR SGX540 GPU, paired with 1GB of RAM.
On paper, this handset sounds like a sweet piece of hardware -- kinda like a bigger, more powerful Droid 3. The unofficial entry into the developer site has since been taken down. You can get an image of the full sheet from Droid Life, though, at the link below.

Eurodroid just got their hands on details and press photos for an upcoming QWERTY candybar from LG. Called the LG Optimus Pro, the handset should be the company's first ever Android smartphone in this form factor.
While unannounced, the handset is supposedly being readied for selling in Italy (some sources say it's already selling -- not likely), which explains the official-looking images. No pictures from retail shelves, though, nor an online link to the sales page, so we really can't be sure.
Leaked details include a 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen display (240 x 320), a four-row QWERTY keyboard, a 3.0 megapixel camera, WiFi, aGPS, Bluetooth, a 1,500 mAh battery and microSD card expansion. While it doesn't appear to have 3G support, it runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the mobile platform's latest build. Chances are, this is running a fairly low-speed processor inside, so it won't be a likely competitor to the Droid Pro. The HTC Cha Cha, on the other hand, is likely within arms' length.
Price is being pegged at €180 (around $250) contract-free, which should make it a decent proposition for budget users who'd like the QWERTY candybar style. No word yet on likely release dates, but expect it to be sooner rather than later.

Nokia has never been good with keeping new phones under wraps. And that proud tradition continues today with the leak of the Nokia 700 Zeta.
This new leak includes pictures that look like actual publicity shots, so it's likely that the handset is about to launch anyway. The particular model pictured comes in white with a silver metal plate (or something resembling metal) on the back.
Rumored details of the Nokia 700 Zeta include a 3.2-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen (640 x 360 resolution), a 5.0 megapixel camera with LED flash, a front-facing webcam, a 1GHz processor and what looks to be speaker holes peeking around the bottom. We're guessing this will be a music-centric phone with those things down there.
It is also rumored to run Symbian Bella, one of the floating versions of Nokia's platform that's nearing the end of its run. While this looks like a sweet multimedia smartphone, there's just no way anyone can get excited about a Symbian device now, with WP7 Nokias on their way.
Nokia, of course, has neither confirmed nor denied the Nokia 700 Zeta. There's no point in staying silent, though, since that should be the real deal right there. Release date is expected to be September, with pricing pegged around the €290 range.

Two new handsets just made it to the rumor rounds Monday, the HTC Holiday and the Motorola Droid 3, both of them running Android inside big-screened frames.
HTC Holiday

A certified behemoth, the HTC Holiday takes the screen size game a step further, boasting a 4.5-inch touchscreen display. Design is rather uncomplicated and simplistic, as you can tell from the photo above. The display is very generous, though, especially with its qHD (960 x 540) resolution. Other leaked details of the phone include a 1.2GHz Qualcomm MSM8660, 1GB of RAM, an 8.0 megapixel camera module and Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread. AT&T is supposedly getting the phone for its US customers. No word on when, but it's called "Holiday," so maybe the holidays?
Motorola Droid 3

Sure, you've seen leaked photos of the Droid 3 before. This time, though, TechnoBuffalo manages to snag the inside scoop on its… uhm… insides. Sitting underneath the handset's chrome trim are a 1GHz Tegra 2 dual-core system on a chip, 8-megapixel optics in the rear and a lower-res one for video calls. The display has been bumped to 4 inches, with qHD (960 x 540) resolution, and, of course, that new raised 5-row keyboard layout. It won't come with LTE support, though, so file those 4G dreams away for now.
