T-Mobile Tap Is A Great Deal, Touts Decent Features And Low Price

Huawei's been getting some good exposure lately, with a number of their handsets finding their way to carriers' rosters both in the US and in Europe.  The latest of that lot comes to American shores as the T-Mobile Tap.

As you can surmise from the name, it's a touchscreen phone, with a small but responsive 2.8-inch display.  The  touch interface is quite impressive, managing to offer better reactions to finger taps than many higher-profile devices around. It has a native 240x320 resolution, showing off bright colors and vibrant graphics.  Physically, the handset bears a lot of resemblance to the HTC Touch.

For voice calls, the Tap performs impressively, managing loud and clear calls with little distortion.  The speakerphone performed on an average level, adding plenty of echo and background noises to the conversations.  Navigation speed is good, although the 3G isn't as fast as on many more popular feature phones.  Battery life is rated at five hours of talk time.

Because of the screen size, the virtual keyboard is a little cramped, which is too bad since the keys were very responsive and the phone comes with a full messaging suite (including POP3 and IMAP emails).  Web browsing also suffers a bit because of the size, but mostly because of the largely primitive interface of the HTML browser.

It's got all the basic mid-range features covered, including a 1,000 entry phonebook, stereo Bluetooth and GPS.  The phone comes with a plainly-designed but capable music player, which you can run in the background, along with an FM tuner.   A 2.0 megapixel camera rounds out the features, offering a good amount of editing options, although it only manages fairly average shots.

Overall, the T-Mobile Tap sounds like an average handset for its category.  Available for $179.99 without any contracts, though, it's an attractive feature phone for those looking to stay within their budget.

Here are my impressions about T- Mobile Tap:
Stylish phone with easy to use interface is what Tap Is all about. It supports a number of features with 3g of Course for speedy browsing. However apart from all such features still it lacks somewhere which is of great concern such as condensed touch screen resulting in difficulties. The touch screen has slow response, virtual keyboard is cramped. What else should I say if such needful features are lacking behind. All in all expectable an extent but for people for whom messaging means a lot, then not a good option.
