As you can judge from the pic, Samsung teamed up with high-end audio manufacturer Bang & Olufsen to produce what could just end up as the most exciting music phone today, the Samsung M7600. Bearing looks that can't help but incite comparisons with fellow Korean cell phone maker Helio's upcoming Ocean 2, the housing seems to be where the similarities end.
The new handset will house an internal B&O amplifier, which should see this render better audio than any mobile phone currently in the market. At the very least, I'm hoping this will come with decent speakers so I can finally listen to music from cell phone speakers that do not feel like shards of glass on my ears. Keep your fingers crossed.
Other known specs of the M7600 include a 2.7 inch AMOLED touchscreen, a 3 megapixel camera, DivX support, integrated GPS and HSDPA. Also reported is an integrated DJ function which will let users record tracks, add effects and scratch. Hopefully, the eyesore Audio by Bang & Olufsen label right under the display isn't part of the production units.
It's rumored to hit European shores in May with no word of a US release (and there's likely none, unless this has quad-band 3G).
