The iPhone has some of the best music-making apps ever made for mobile gadgets available on its roster.  That's why the Ezison 100, an iPhone speaker that you can hold like a real guitar, makes perfect sense.

Whether you make your digital music using BeBot, 8Bitone or any of the slew of music-creation titles on the platform, slotting your iPhone into the guitar-shaped speaker's dock lets you tote it around onstage, all while staying plugged in to the built-in speaker.  Just put a strap on it (strap buttons are attached to both ends) and work your multi-touch wizardry fully upright, prancing about in your bedroom to an audience of cockroaches and mice (and, maybe, your pet dog).

Created by Japan-based Bird Electron, the Ezison 100 is fully handmade, with a body built from wood and acrylic fiber.  It measures 450×150×35 mm, weighs 650 grams and draws power from three AA batteries.   You're restricted to a 2W digital amplifier, though, so it might not make for the loveliest of audio.  I'm pretty sure those interested in using it for actual performances will find a way, though.

Unfortunately, the company is restricting the Ezison 100 to 50 examples, with a rather excessive retail price of $290 (approximately) apiece.  Sales start on January 30.
